Schiller Park's Kara Blomquist is Cook County's 2018 Unsung Heroine for the 9th District

Congratulations to our own Kara Blomquist for being named Cook County’s Unsung Heroine of the 9th District for 2018. A lifelong resident of Schiller Park, Kara founded Loaves and Fishes in Schiller Park in 2009; since then, the group has served over 7,500 meals. Additionally, Kara and fellow mother and Schiller Park resident Robin Fiala co-founded All ’Bout Children (ABC), a group designed to increase parental participation in School District 81. Congratulations again Kara; we are so grateful to have you here in Schiller Park!
