Firefighters Association Starts Wounded Warrior Fundraiser
The Schiller Park Firefighters Association (SPFA) is coordinating a fundraising event this summer to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)™, which provides assistance to physically and/or mentally injured military servicemen and their families.
In an effort to raise money for this worthwhile cause, the SPFA will be selling specially designed sand camouflage-colored t-shirts beginning this summer. All full-time personnel of the Schiller Park Fire Department (SPFD) will be wearing these shirts on-duty through the 4th of July to raise public awareness for this campaign.
T-shirts (ranging in size from SM-XXL) will be made available for purchase for $20.00 (XXL Size is $2.00 more) by the public on May 1st, 2013 at the Fire Department or the Village Hall of Schiller Park (both located at 9526 W. Irving Park Road) during normal business hours. In addition, the SPFA will also be selling these t-shirts at various events throughout the Village during the summertime. All proceeds from this fundraising event will go directly to the WWP.
