Winter Weather Information

As all experienced Schiller Park residents know our winter weather can be hard to deal with and often dangerous. The Village, the Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the National Weather Service, FEMA, and the Red Cross all agree that helpful knowledge for dealing with winter weather should be made available to Village residents to help them prepare for and cope with winter weather challenges.

In that regard the Village wants to ensure residents have access to some helpful winter weather information. A document titled "Winter Storms - The Deceptive Killers" can be downloaded by clicking here. Also a packet of flyers with helpful tips can be downloaded by clicking here. Additional information regarding winter storm preparedness can be obtained by visiting the IEMA website or the Ready Illinois website at or by calling (217) 785-9888.

The Village urges residents to exercise caution in dealing with winter weather and to be prepared for these difficult weather conditions.
