Forest Preserve of Cook County Logo

Residents of the Village of Schiller Park have access to beautiful nature and exciting amenities, such as Robinson Woods-South and Schiller Woods, thanks to the Forest Preserves of Cook County. In the preserves on the eastern edge of Schiller Park is the unpaved Des Plaines Trail System, which runs for over 28 miles between River Forest and Glenview, and is easily accessible to Village residents.

At Robinson Woods-South, residents can take advantage of a sheltered picnic grove perfect for gatherings and celebrations and opportunities to cross-country ski, hike and bike. The Schiller Woods also offers picnic groves and opportunities to sled, bike, cross-country ski and hike. Golfers can take advantage of the nearby 18-hole Indian Boundary Golf Course which features a heavily wooded layout and strategically placed water and sand.
