Yes, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) are currently accepted at all Village offices. Payments are not accepted over the phone. As of the 2020 Census, 11,709 people live in Schiller Park . The next census is scheduled for 2030, and a new population number will be determined after that tally is complete.

Yes, permits for garage sales are required. Each garage sale is limited to three consecutive days. There is no cost for a permit, but residences are limited to two garage sales per year. If interested, please complete our Garage or Yard Sale Permit Application.

The Village is not involved in setting your property tax rate, but does receive approximately eighteen percent of your property taxes. Most property tax issues are handled by the Leyden Township Assessor’s Office or the Cook County Assessor. For more information, please visit the Leyden Township Website.

The Village Hall is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. The Village Hall is located at 9526 West Irving Park Road on the north side of the street, just east of the railroad viaduct. Our phone number is 847-678-2550.

Per our Village Code (VC 30.012), the following holidays are observed and all Village Offices will be closed: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
When any of the above holidays listed falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed. When any of the above holidays falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed.

The Village accepts cash, checks, and Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. The Village Hall drop box for payments can only be used by those paying with a check. Payments are now accepted online for vehicle stickers, water bills, and parking tickets. Please note that payments with credit cards are not accepted over the phone. For your safety, please leave the animal and let nature take its course. It is illegal to try to take care of the animal, as a license to care for wild animals is required.
In the event where there is still interest in helping the animal, please click here for information on rehabilitation resources that are available in this area. Leyden Animal Control will not assist in dealing with wild animals unless they are trapped in an approved cage under the Village trapping program.
